I am a native of Madison
I was born and raised on the city’s east side and graduated from LaFollette High School.
I am a mother
At the age of 17, when I was only a senior in high school, I became a mother to my son, Malachi.
I currently reside in the East Buckeye neighborhood with my two children, Malachi and Zhoie.
I earned two higher education degrees
I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
I have a robust background serving others
I have worked in the field of human and social services in Rock and Dane counties for over a decade. Throughout high school and college, I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). My career is focused on meeting human & social needs.
I am a collaborative and influential leader
I currently serve as the Housing Director for YWCA Madison where I oversee a department of 10 programs with an annual budget over $3M. I am committed to finding solutions to end homelessness.
